Through the artwork ”Swarm” I wish to actualize central environmental issues of today’s society. More particularly, how people’s cultural and economical understanding of animals affects their chances of survival- and thus the very existence of all life on the planet. “Swarm” shows the insects as monumental bodies with clear tactile and ornamental qualities as found in such insects as the cicada.
